The aim of this project was to refresh the Classic Grand’s website to reflect their new logo/colour scheme. The existing site was very dark and the two background images were distracting from the posters being used to advertise each event. The varying sizes of the posters themselves was also causing black bars to appear either at the sides or underneath the artwork depending on their orientation. There was also a number of superfluous/repeating elements on pages and a lack of a clear visual hierarchy.
The site has been given a cleaner, more modern look with the focus being placed on the event’s artwork and the key event details. The aim was to present users with the relevant information in a more structured manner to try and move them towards purchasing tickets.
The new UI uses shades of the dark purple specified in the company’s new branding to create content blocks that present this information in a more logical way.
