A Legacy Of Sound
Our Story
Founded in 1957 in Nashville, Tennessee, Rosewood Guitars began as a humble workshop of passionate luthiers who believed electric guitars should be more than instruments—they should be storytellers. In a time when rock ‘n’ roll was erupting and blues electrified every smoky bar, Rosewood answered the call for something real: handcrafted instruments with character, tone, and soul.
From our very first model, the LT-50, built from locally sourced mahogany and wired by hand, Rosewood has always stood for more than just music. We represent craftsmanship, tradition, and the unbroken thread that connects generations of musicians.

There From The Start

In the early 1960s, while the world watched music change forever, Rosewood was at the heart of the movement. Our guitars weren’t just present—they were essential tools for the pioneers shaping the sound of the century. The unique clarity, warmth, and punch of our pickups made their way into recordings that are still revered today.
Each instrument we created was an extension of the player—whether sliding into a blues solo or crashing through the noise of punk rock.
Built for the Stage, Made for the Studio
From gritty dive bars to world-class recording studios, Rosewood guitars have graced every kind of venue. Our players choose us for reliability, tone, and that elusive feel that makes an instrument an extension of the soul.
Whether it’s a smoky Chicago blues club or a packed stadium, Rosewood delivers:
- Consistent tuning stability across hours of performance
- Stage-ready electronics with noise-free shielding
- Elegant vintage aesthetics that look as good as they sound

What We Do
Our Commitment to the craft
At Rosewood, we don’t chase trends. We honor the materials, respect the player, and believe the right guitar can change everything. Our workshop in Nashville still hums with the same tools, the same attention to detail, and the same commitment to tone that started it all over 65 years ago.
We’ve never outsourced our labor. We’ve never mass-produced. And we never will.
